About Me

I am an Associate Professor of Finance at the UCLA Anderson School of Management.  I conduct research in the areas of corporate finance, real estate finance, macro, and the intersection of the three.  In all of these areas, my focus is on how agency conflicts and informational frictions shape contracts and markets.   I mostly do theory, but I have empirical work too.

I have been an Associate Professor at the UCLA Anderson School of Management since 2020 and I was an Assistant Professor from 2013 to 2020.  Prior to joining Anderson, I was an Assistant Professor at the Fuqua School of Business at Duke.  I received a PhD from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley in 2011 and an MS and BS from Stanford University in 2004 and 2003.
